John Barnes is backing Liverpool to seal a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s men head into the game looking to build on their impressive 3-0 win over Manchester City at Anfield on Wednesday night as they gained revenge for their League Cup final defeat last weekend.

Liverpool are currently in eighth place in the Premier League table as they bid to string together a positive run until the end of the season.

The Reds have failed to find consistent form in the top flight since Klopp’s appointment at Anfield back in October, but former Liverpool star Barnes is fully expecting to see the Merseyside outfit beat Palace this weekend.

Writing in his blog for Titan Bet, Barnes said: “Palace are struggling – they haven’t won in 12 league matches since they beat Stoke on December 19th.

“Liverpool, on the other hand, need to continue their good form – and I think they can.”
