Eric Dier has sent a message of congratulations to Danny Rose after the Tottenham Hotspur defender made his England debut in Berlin on Saturday night.

The Spurs full-back was rewarded for his fine performances for the Premier League title contenders with a start against the World Cup holders.

Rose’s team-mates Harry Kane and Dier both scored as England came from 2-0 down to secure a famous 3-2 victory over Joachim Low’s Germany side.

While Dier proved to be England’s match-winner against the Germans, the midfielder highlighted the team spirit in Roy Hodgson’s squad as he decided a Twitter post to Rose following Saturday’s friendly.

Rose has scored one goal and has made two assists in 18 Premier League games so far this season.

Tottenham are in second place in the Premier League table and five points behind Leicester.
