Tottenham Hotspur aren’t good enough to win the Premier League title this season, according to Spurs legend Garth Crooks.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side played out a thrilling 2-2 draw with bitter rivals Arsenal in the north London derby on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham are in second place in the Premier League table and five points behind leaders Leicester City after the Foxes were 1-0 winners at Watford.

Spurs have won six of their last eight Premier League games following their north London derby stalemate.

However, former Tottenham forward Crooks played down their chances of Premier League title glory despite Harry Kane’s impressive form for Pochettino’s side.

“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Spurs cannot win the Premier League title,” Crooks told BBC Sport.

“What they can do is produce moments of magic like the goal scored by Harry Kane that should have won the game and proved that they are capable of winning the matches that matter.”

Aaron Ramsey broke the deadlock in the first half of Saturday’s north London derby at White Hart Lane.

However, Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin was sent off in the second half and Toby Alderweireld minutes later.
