Garth Crooks has expressed his disappointment at Hugo Lloris’s form for Tottenham Hotspur.

The France international has conceded three goals in his last two Premier League games since returning from an injury problem.

If you are going to win titles, you need players who play their best football in the biggest games

Michael Antontio netted a first-half winner for West Ham in a 1-0 win at Upton Park mid-week before Aaron Ramsey and Alexis Sanchez beat the Tottenham captain in Saturday’s north London derby.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side secured a point in the bitter clash with their local rivals thanks to goals from Harry Kane and Toby Alderweireld.

However, former Spurs man Crooks isn’t impressed with the recent form of the club’s number one goalkeeper.

“What really disappoints me is the form of Hugo Lloris, who appears to freeze in the big games,” Crooks told BBC Sport.

“It’s happened three times this season against Arsenal away, West Ham in midweek and again against the Gunners at White Hart Lane.

“If you are going to win titles, you need players who play their best football in the biggest games and don’t suffer from moments of stage-fright.”

Tottenham are in second place in the Premier League table and five points behind leaders Leicester City after the Foxes were 1-0 winners at Watford on Saturday evening.
