The forward curled home a brilliant strike early in the second half to hand Spurs the lead after the Gunners were reduced to 10 men.
Alexis Sanchez netted a late equaliser for Arsenal to deny Spurs victory in the north London derby.
But Hoddle was full of praise for the 22-year-old Kane after he netted his 17th Premier League goal of the season for Tottenham against their bitter local rivals.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Hoddle said: “What a sublime finish from Harry Kane in the 62nd minute. It really was quite exquisite.
“From that angle, to be able to beat an international keeper is extraordinary.
“He hasn’t been in the best goal-scoring form but with Harry it doesn’t seemed to worry him and he’s still willing to take on a chance like that.
“It hit the inside of the post and went in, so he couldn’t have hit it any further away from the keeper. Quite superb.”
Kane has scored 19 goals in all competitions for the Lilywhites so far this season to help them mount a serious title challenge.
Mauricio Pochettino’s men are currently five points behind leaders Leicester heading into the final nine games of the season.
Spurs now turn their attentions towards their Europa League clash with Borussia Dortmund on Thursday.
