Guus Hiddink has moved to play down fears surrounding Eden Hazard’s fitness after the Chelsea playmaker was pictured limping late on during the Blues’ 2-1 win at Norwich on Tuesday night.

The 25-year-old played the full 90 minutes and notched up an assist as the Blues made it three straight wins in the Premier League with victory over the Canaries at Carrow Road.

Hazard has struggled to reproduce the kind of form which won him the PFA player of the year award last season this term and is yet to score in the Premier League for the west London club.

However, Chelsea interim boss Hiddink is unconcerned about the Belgian playmaker’s situation.

Speaking at his post-match news conference on Tuesday night, Hiddink said: “Eden has had a difficult time with injuries.

“It’s good he is playing full, intense games and then he will grow in physical shape.

“He had some discomfort but I don’t think it’s a big problem.”
