Harry Redknapp says Arsenal fans are entitled to express their discontent in the stands

Harry Redknapp has insisted that Arsenal’s fans are entitled boo and express their discontent following the Gunners’ poor run of form.

Arsenal were subjected to a chorus of boos and jeers at the final whistle as they were beaten 2-1 by Swansea City in the Premier League last week.

The Gunners came from a goal down to earn a 2-2 draw in Saturday’s north London derby clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.

Arsenal fans have expressed their frustration in recent days after seeing their team slump to defeats by the likes of Barcelona and Manchester United.

And former Tottenham manager feels that the supporters are fully entitled to express their anger at recent results when performances have not been up to scratch.

Speaking on BT Sport on Saturday, Redknapp said: “People are entitled to have the hump.

“They played terrible at Man United, they come back home, Swansea looks in all honesty a gimme, they’ve rested players with Norwich in mind and they’ve won at Arsenal.

“They’ve not performed again and the fans are entitled to boo.”
