Harry Redknapp names his Premier League team of the week, including Danny Welbeck and Toby Alderweireld

Harry Redknapp has selected Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck and Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld in his Premier League team of the week.

The Arsenal forward proved a nuisance in Saturday’s north London derby and Welbeck played a part in Aaron Ramsey’s opener at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham found a way back into the match after Francis Coquelin’s sending off and Alderweireld equalised before Harry Kane’s brilliant strike.

And although Alexis Sanchez managed to score a leveller, former Spurs boss still named Alderweireld in his team of the week alongside Welbeck.

The ex-Portsmouth manager was also impressed with Dejan Lovren after 10-man Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-1.

The 67-year-old named West Ham midfielder Dimtri Payet in midfield after he inspired a 3-2 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

There was also a place for Romelu Lukaku even though the Belgium international missed a penalty for Roberto Martinez’s side.

Redknapp’s team of the week: Kasper Schmeichel; Adam Smith, Toby Alderweireld, Dejan Lovren, Gael Clichy; Charlie Daniels, Riyad Mahrez, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Dimitri Payet; Danny Welbeck and Romelu Lukaku.
