Harry Redknapp has selected Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck and Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld in his Premier League team of the week.

The Arsenal forward proved a nuisance in Saturday’s north London derby and Welbeck played a part in Aaron Ramsey’s opener at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham found a way back into the match after Francis Coquelin’s sending off and Alderweireld equalised before Harry Kane’s brilliant strike.

And although Alexis Sanchez managed to score a leveller, former Spurs boss still named Alderweireld in his team of the week alongside Welbeck.

The ex-Portsmouth manager was also impressed with Dejan Lovren after 10-man Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-1.

The 67-year-old named West Ham midfielder Dimtri Payet in midfield after he inspired a 3-2 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

There was also a place for Romelu Lukaku even though the Belgium international missed a penalty for Roberto Martinez’s side.

Redknapp’s team of the week: Kasper Schmeichel; Adam Smith, Toby Alderweireld, Dejan Lovren, Gael Clichy; Charlie Daniels, Riyad Mahrez, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Dimitri Payet; Danny Welbeck and Romelu Lukaku.
