Arsenal could be set to sign £34m-rated Borussia Monchengladbach star Granit Xhaka this summer, according to reporter Raphael Honigstein.

The north London side are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as Arsene Wenger looks to transform his side into genuine Premier League title challenges.

Arsenal currently sit third in the Premier League and 11 points behind leaders Leicester, and with Wenger set to enter the last year of his contract next season, the Frenchman could be set to bolster his squad with top talent ahead of what could be his final campaign in charge.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move to sign Xhaka, with some outlets reporting that Arsenal have already agreed a deal worth £34m to sign the player.

Now, German football expert Honigstein has confirmed that a deal to take Xhaka to Emirates Stadium could well be on the cards.
