Spurs were 3-0 winners against Bournemouth at White Hart Lane on Sunday to cut Leicester’s lead to five points after the Foxes secured a 1-0 victory at Crystal Palace earlier in the weekend.
Arsenal are 11 points behind Claudio Ranieri’s side following their morale-boosting 2-0 win against Everton in the weekend’s early kick-off on Saturday.
Manchester City, meanwhile, fell further off the pace after Sunday’s 1-0 derby defeat by Manchester United at The Etihad.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher admitted that he can only see Leicester or Tottenham lifting the Premier League title at the end of the season.
“Man City can’t win the league. I don’t think Arsenal can. Spurs are their only rivals,” Carragher told Sky Sports.
“If I was a Leicester player watching Spurs, I’d have been hanging on. If Spurs hadn’t won, Leicester would almost be there.”
Tottenham make the long trip to Liverpool in their next Premier League game at Anfield on Saturday 2 April.
Leicester, meanwhile, will host Southampton at King Power Stadium on Sunday 3 April.
