The striker won and scored the late penalty that earned the Reds a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
The Belgian international has been limited to 12 Premier League starts for the Merseyside outfit so far this season, but has managed to score seven goals and make two assists in the top flight.
And former Liverpool midfielder Redknapp has been impressed by what he has seen from the former Aston Villa forward since his arrival at Anfield.
Writing in his column for the Daily Mail, Redknapp said: “Jurgen Klopp clearly doesn’t fancy him but I’m sure he won’t complain if the Belgian keeps chipping in with valuable goals.
“Benteke’s goals have been worth nine points this season and without them Liverpool would be 14th.
“He’s a good player but maybe he doesn’t fit Klopp’s style. I’ve yet to see Klopp’s style — we’ll see that next season — but if he does sell Benteke in the summer, goals like these will keep his price up.”
Benteke will be hoping to feature when Liverpool take on Manchester United at Anfield in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash on Thursday night.
Benteke has scored one goal in three Europa League appearances for the Reds so far this term.
