Jermaine Jenas believes Leicester City will finish as Premier League champions ahead of Arsenal this season.

Arsene Wenger’s side ended a three-game winless run on Saturday thanks to an impressive 2-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.

Danny Welbeck broke the deadlock in the seventh minute before Premier League debutant Alex Iwobi added a second minutes before half-time.

Arsenal moved to within eight points of Leicester before Riyad Mahrez scored the Foxes’s winner in 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace to restore their 11-point lead over the Gunners.

Speaking on Match Of The Day on Saturday night, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jenas stated his prediction in the Premier League title race.

Asked if Arsenal can win the league, Jenas replied: “No.

“They are 11 points of Leicester. I don’t think Leicester will drop that many points.”
