He was a real bright spark for Arsenal
However, Iwobi managed to have a telling impact on the Premier League clash at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon after the England Under-21 international doubled the away side’s lead.
Speaking on Match Of The Day following Arsenal’s much-needed victory, former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jenas explained why Iwobi was so impressive.
“He is 19 and played mid-week against Barcelona and he is just so impressive,” Jenas said.
“He has intelligence to his game that I like so much about him.
“He finds space at the right times. He was a real bright spark for Arsenal.”
Danny Welbeck broke the deadlock in the seventh minute for Arsene Wenger’s side at Goodison Park.
Iwobi completed a sweeping counter-attacking move for Arsenal three minutes before half-time to secure three points for the north London side.
The Gunners moved to within eight points of leaders Leicester City before the Premier League pace-setters restored their 11-point cushion thanks to a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace.
