The 23-year-old has been a regular fixture in the Red Devils’ first team this season, scoring four goals and making one assist in 17 Premier League games.
Lingard played the full 90 minutes as United returned to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend with a 1-0 derby victory over local rivals Manchester City at Etihad Stadium.
The attacker admits that he feels under pressure after becoming a regular in the first team, but concedes that it is a normal part of playing at the top level.
Speaking to United’s website, Lingard said: “I’m still young, still improving and still learning the game but I’ve got to practise and train and put that to use when it comes to matches.
“To be starting week in and week out at Manchester United is massive. It comes with a lot of pressure but you’ve got to cope with that.”
Lingard will be hoping to feature when United return to Premier League action with a home clash against Everton after the international break.
United are currently sixth and one point adrift of the top four.
