Jose Mourinho has broken his silence about his future as he continues to be linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer.

Speculation about the Portuguese coach’s next club has been rife since his sacking by Chelsea back in December.

The former Real Madrid boss was relieved of his duties at Stamford Bridge after his side’s disastrous start to their Premier League title defence.

United boss Louis van Gaal, meanwhile, has found himself under intense pressure at Old Trafford in recent weeks due to his side’s stuttering form.

The Red Devils are currently sixth in the Premier League table and were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage back in December.

Plenty of reports in the media have linked Mourinho with the Old Trafford job, but the former Inter Milan and Porto boss insists that he does not yet know which club he will move to in the summer.

Speaking to BT Sport, Mourinho said: “Do I miss my football? Yes, I miss it. But I look forward to the future, I want my football back and time flies and July will be just around the corner.”

Asked if his return will be somewhere this summer, he replied: “Yes, for sure.

“I don’t know where. Since I left Chelsea in December I was lucky enough to not just have options but good options. But I made the decision to wait.

“July, mid-July the new pre-season starts and somewhere I want to be there.”
