Liverpool are ready to pay big money to bring Barcelona teenager Sergio Gomez to Anfield this summer, according to reports.

The Reds are said to be interested in bringing the 16-year-old left winger to the Merseyside outfit as Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his squad ahead of his first full season in charge at Anfield.

Spanish newspaper Marca is reporting that the Reds are ready to offer a “blank cheque” to bring the youngster to the Premier League outfit.

The same report claims that Gomez has attracted interest from a host of Europe’s top clubs, but Liverpool are leading the chase for the winger’s signature ahead of the forthcoming summer transfer window.

Liverpool moved up to seventh place in the Premier League table on Sunday thanks to their dramatic 2-1 win at Crystal Palace.
