Luis Suarez paid a special visit to Liverpool’s training ground on Tuesday as the Reds prepare for their crunch Europa League clash with Manchester United on Thursday night.

The Uruguay international, who joined Barcelona from Liverpool in July 2014, gave the thumbs up alongside Mamadou Sakho at Melwood on Tuesday morning.

Sakho, who helped Liverpool beat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Sunday, posted the video above on his personal Instagram account on Tuesday morning and wrote: “Special visit at Melwood this morning !! #YNWA #LFC”

Suarez has been in sublime form for Barcelona since joining the club from Liverpool one and a half years ago.

The 29-year-old forward has already scored 26 goals in 27 La Liga games for the Catalan side this season and has also netted five times in the Champions League.

Suarez will have been passing on his best wishes to the Reds as they prepare for the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash with Manchester United at Anfield on Thursday night.
