Manchester United are moving ever closer to securing the signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, according to reports.

The Red Devils are expected to be one of the busiest clubs in the summer transfer window as they look to overhaul their squad ahead of a potential Premier League title challenge next season.

Aubameyang has long been linked with a transfer to the Premier League and was touted as a possible target for Arsenal during the January window, but a move failed to materialise.

Now, United are preparing a serious summer bid for the Dortmund star, who could attract a fee as high as £70m, according to the Daily Mail.

The same newspaper report states that Arsenal have fallen behind in the race to sign the Gabon international, who is under contract at Dortmund until 2020.

Aubameyang would be keen on securing a transfer to the Old Trafford club, according to the newspaper story.
