The Red Devils head into the game fresh from their impressive 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon, which was their third victory on the spin.
United’s victory over the Gunners moved them up to within three points of third-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand over their local rivals.
And former Red Devils and Liverpool striker Owen is expecting to see United beat the Hornets at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Writing in his column for Bet Victor, Owen said: “United have beaten Watford on the last 10 occasions the clubs have met in all competitions and the goals have really dried up for the Hornets in recent weeks.
“The same cannot be said about Marcus Rashford who has scored four goals from five shots on target in his United career to date!
“Juan Mata is getting further forward of late and the Spanish international might be the one to unlock the Watford defence.”
United take on Watford on Wednesday before turning their attentions towards their Premier League trip to West Bromwich Albion on Sunday afternoon.
The Red Devils finished fourth in Louis van Gaal’s first season at the club but were dumped out of the Champions League at the group stage back in December.
