Mesut Ozil was clearly in a reflective mood on Thursday night as he and his Arsenal team-mates prepare for their FA Cup quarter-final clash against Watford at Emirates Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Germany playmaker was rested in midweek as Arsene Wenger’s men secured a thumping 4-0 win over Hull to book their place in the last eight.

Arsenal are looking to win the competition for a third successive year and Ozil will be expecting to feature when the Gunners host the Hornets in north London this weekend.

And the World Cup winner used his personal Instagram account to reflect on his career as a professional footballer on Thursday night.

Ozil posted the photo above on the app and wrote: “M1Ö + ⚽ = ❤ #MyPassion #MyLove #MyHobby #MyJob #MyLife #BeTheDifference #ace16”

Ozil has been a regular fixture in the Arsenal first-team this season and has made 18 assists in 27 Premier League games, scoring five goals.
