Mamadou Sakho caught up with his former Paris Saint-Germain team-mate ahead of France’s imminent friendlies this week.

The 25-year-old progressed through the PSG youth ranks before he broke into the Ligue 1 champions’s first-team in 2011.

However, Sakho swapped the French capital for Liverpool in a £16m deal in 2013 under Jurgen Klopp’s predecessor Brendan Rodgers.

Although the Reds defender is a big fan of life on Merseyside, Sakho has still managed to keep in contact with some former team-mates, including Matuidi.

The PSG midfielder has been linked with a potential move to defending Premier League champions Chelsea in the summer transfer window.

And perhaps Sakho discussed the potential merits of a mood to England as the pair caught up on Wednesday.

The France centre-half has been a regular in the Liverpool first-team since Klopp took over the reins from Rodgers in October.
