Roberto Firmino appeared in high spirits despite his recent injury setback as the Liverpool star posted a selfie at the club’s training base in Tenerife.

The former Hoffenheim midfielder suffered a hamstring problem following Thursday night’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.

Firmino missed Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat by Southampton at St Mary’s in the Premier League on Sunday as Jurgen Klopp’s side allowed a 2-0 lead to slip and lost 3-2 against Ronald Koeman’s Saints outfit.

The South American jetted out with a depleted Liverpool squad to Tenerife as Klopp works with his players at a warm weather training camp following their first defeat in four Premier League games.

The Brazilian has been in outstanding form for Liverpool so far this year after a return of eight goals and seven assists in the Premier League.
