Mesut Ozil has sent a birthday message to Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini ahead of Tuesday night’s FA Cup clash at Hull City.

Arsene Wenger’s side ended a three-game losing run on Saturday thanks to their 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur in the north London derby at White Hart Lane.

Ozil was unable to have an impact on the local clash, whilst Flamini was a late substitute for the Gunners as Arsene Wenger sought to protect their derby point.

Arsenal’s club-record signing posted an Instagram message for the 32-year-old as the Gunners prepare for their FA Cup fifth-round replay at Hull City.

Ozil wrote: “My best wishes to my Bro, Mathieu!!! 🚀👏🎉🎈 See you later, my friend! 🎁👍😉 #HappyBirthday #FelizCumpleaños #Flamini #Bro @mathieuflamini”

The Germany playmaker has scored five goals and has made 18 assists in 27 Premier League games for the north London side so far this season.

The World Cup winner moved to Arsenal in a £42.5m club-record deal from Real Madrid in August 2013.
