Mousa Dembele hailed a “massive result” for Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League title race after Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Bournemouth.

England international Harry Kane scored twice in the opening eight minutes to put Mauricio Pochettino’s side in control of the Premier League clash at White Hart Lane.

Former Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen added a third after half-time to seal three points for the Lilywhites in the race to secure their first Premier League crown.

Tottenham’s emphatic win against the Cherries cut Leicester City’s lead to five points at the top of the Premier League table.

Belgium international Dembele was delighted with a huge result in the context of the title race before the international break over Easter.

Dembele wrote on his Instagram page: “This was what we call an impressive team performance. ;) Thank you all for the massive support! #COYS”

The former Fulham midfielder has played a big part in Tottenham’s Premier League title challenge so far this season.
