The South American has been nursing the hamstring problem in recent days after he picked it up following Thursday night’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
Firmino was forced to sit out Liverpool’s 3-2 defeat by Southampton at St Mary’s on Sunday as the Reds squandered a 2-0 lead to lose their first Premier League game in four outings.
The South American has joined Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool players in Tenerife as the 48-year-old works with his deleted squad at a warm weather training camp.
Firmino has been in outstanding form for Liverpool so far this year after a return of eight goals and seven assists in the Premier League.
The Brazilian playmaker moved to Liverpool in a £29m deal from German side Hoffenheim last summer.
