Ben Davies sent a message of congratulations to Danny Ward after the Liverpool goalkeeper made his Wales debut on Thursday night.

Wales manager Chris Coleman started Liverpool’s second-choice shot stopper for the visit of Michael O’Neill’s impressive Northern Ireland side at Millennium Stadium.

Ward, however, was unable to keep a clean sheet on his debut after Craig Cathcart broke the deadlock in the 69th minute before Simon Church’s 89th-minute equaliser from the penalty spot.

Tottenham defender Davies, who didn’t feature against the Northern Irish, snapped a selfie with the man of the moment and offered a message of congratulations to Ward.
