Jurgen Klopp and Christian Benteke were photographed deep in discussion as Liverpool trained ahead of their trip to Southampton on Sunday.

The Reds are in action in the Premier League a matter of days after Klopp’s side knocked Manchester United out of the Europa League.

Philippe Coutinho’s first-half goal cancelled out Anthony Martial’s penalty and secured a 3-1 aggregate victory for the Merseyside outfit.

Liverpool are unbeaten in their last four games in all competitions since last month’s League Cup final penalty shootout against Manchester City.

The Reds are in eighth place in the Premier League table and seven points adrift of fourth-placed Manchester City in the Premier League table.

Liverpool were 6-1 winners against Southampton in their League Cup quarter-final meeting at St Mary’s earlier this season.
