Luis Suarez was all smiles as the Barcelona striker returned to Liverpool’s training ground on Tuesday.

The Uruguay international visited his former Reds team-mates after he was permitted to take some downtime by the Spanish champions.

Suarez has scored 28 goals in 29 La Liga games for the Catalan side so far this season, helping Luis Enrique’s side to move eight points clear in the Spanish title race.

Suarez, 29, scored 82 times in 133 games in all competitions for the 18-time English champions during a three-and-a-half year stay at Anfield.

Suarez won La Liga, the Copa del Rey and the Champions League in his first season at Barcelona following his £75m move from Liverpool in 2014.

Liverpool host Manchester United in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash at Anfield on Thursday night.
