Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to fume over Arsenal’s failure to appoint Jurgen Klopp as Arsene Wenger’s successor.

The outspoken Arsenal supporter watched Liverpool ease to a brilliant 2-0 victory over Manchester United in the first leg of their Europa League last-16 clash at Anfield on Thursday night.

England international Daniel Sturridge broke the deadlock in the first half from the penalty spot before Roberto Firmino added a second 17 minutes from full-time.

Klopp’s Liverpool side have scored five goals without reply against both Manchester clubs in successive games at Anfield over the past week.

Arsenal fan Morgan slammed the Gunners for failing to appoint Klopp when the 48-year-old stood down as Borussia Dortmund manager at the end of the 2014/15 season.

Wenger’s side are in third place in the Premier League table and eight points ahead of Liverpool, although Klopp’s side have played one game less than the Gunners.
