The 19-year-old has been in impressive form for the north London club since being introduced to the first team by manager Arsene Wenger.
Iwobi caught the eye with a solid performance during the Champions League loss to Barcelona last week, and then followed up that showing by scoring Arsenal’s second goal in the 2-0 win over Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
And former Arsenal midfielder Parlour admits that he has been very impressed by what he has seen from the teenager in recent weeks.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday morning, Parlour said: “Iwobi has stepped up.
“He’s been a real revelation in the last month as he has been playing on a regular basis.
“He’s strong, he’s young and he’s fearless at the moment.”
Iwobi will be hoping to continue his run in the Arsenal first team after the international break when the Gunners host Watford at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal are currently third in the table and 11 points behind leaders Leicester.
