The Brazilian attacker has been a regular fixture in the Merseyside outfit’s first team this term and scored Liverpool’s second goal as they beat Manchester United 2-0 in the first leg of their Europa League clash last week.
The 24-year-old has already scored nine goals and made eight assists for Klopp’s side so far this season and has produced a number of sparkling displays for the Merseyside outfit.
And former Liverpool forward Fowler has been thoroughly impressed by what he has seen from Firmino so far this season.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Fowler said: “Firmino has massively improved and looks a real danger whenever he plays now.
“Earlier in the season I didn’t really know what his best position was. But now he looks at his best playing centrally just behind the striker.
“He looks a different player now. He’s scoring goals, he’s creating goals.
“When he first came there were a lot of questions asked about him but playing in the Premier League is massively different to any other league. The intensity is a lot greater.
“It took a while for him to adapt but he’s flying now.”
Liverpool are currently gearing up for the return leg of their Europa League last 16 clash at Old Trafford on Thursday night.
The Reds have had a free weekend to prepare, while United came from a goal down to draw 1-1 with West Ham in the FA Cup on Sunday.
