Morgan Schneiderlin is backing Marcus Rashford to develop into a top player for Manchester United in the seasons to come.

The 18-year-old has hit the headlines in recent weeks after his rise to prominence in the Red Devils’ first team.

Rashford announced himself to the Old Trafford faithful with four goals in two games, before netting the winner in Sunday’s derby victory over Manchester City at Etihad Stadium.

The teenager has earned plenty of new admirers for his fearless style of play in recent weeks.

And Schneiderlin is tipping the youngster to enjoy a big future at the Old Trafford outfit.

Speaking to United’s website in the wake of the Red Devils’ win over City at the weekend, Schneiderlin said: “It is amazing what’s happened with him since he made his debut.

“He’s a great talent, it is not just about the goals he is scoring, it’s about all his game. He will make some progress in the future as well and he will be a top, top player.”
