Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he is expecting to see Leicester City win the Premier League title ahead of Tottenham and Arsenal – and with three games to spare.

The Foxes are currently flying hight at the top of the Premier League table after a sparkling campaign and can once again move five points clear of Tottenham with victory over Newcastle on Monday night.

Arsenal have been struggling for form in the Premier League and have not won in the top flight since their dramatic 2-1 win over Leicester back in February.

Tottenham, meanwhile, continued their push for their first title in 55 years with victory at Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon.

However, former Manchester United boss Ferguson is fully expecting to see Claudio Ranieri’s men lift the Premier League trophy at the end of the season.

Speaking to the Sunday Times, Ferguson said: “I believe [Leicester] will win [the Premier League] with three games to spare.”
