Sol Campbell has agreed with Michael Owen’s assessment that Arsenal have become an “average” team over the last eight years.

The Gunners are currently reeling from their surprise 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea City at Emirates Stadium on Wednesday night as they suffered yet another blow to their Premier League title hopes.

Their loss to the Swans followed defeats by Manchester United and Barcelona and heaped further pressure on Arsene Wenger heading into Saturday lunchtime’s crunch north London derby clash with Tottenham at White Hart Lane.
