Thierry Henry has reluctantly conceded that Tottenham are in with a very good chance of winning the Premier League title this season.

The north London side are currently flying high in second place in the Premier League table and have been one of the top flight’s most consistent teams this term.

Spurs are currently two points behind leaders Leicester City heading into their trip to West Ham United on Wednesday night.

And former Arsenal striker Henry has admitted that the Lilywhites have proven themselves to be genuine contenders for the Premier League title in recent weeks.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday afternoon, Henry said: “It is a hard one to say but Tottenham have an amazing chance to win the league.

“I never thought I’d say that in my lifetime.

“Fair play to the team and Mauricio Pochettino did something amazing.

“Tottenham believe that they can win the league and it is all down to him.”

Arsenal are currently three points behind their bitter local rivals as both sides gear up for the crunch north London derby clash at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners, who finished third and won the FA Cup last season, have not lifted the top flight trophy since 2004.
