Thierry Henry sends blunt warning to Arsenal players ahead of Swansea clash

Thierry Henry warns that it is time for the whole Arsenal squad to stand up and be counted

Thierry Henry has warned that it is time for all of Arsenal’s squad to stand up and be counted ahead of Wednesday’s clash with Swansea.

Arsenal have come in for plenty of criticism in recent days following the disappointment of their 3-2 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The north London side failed to click into gear against Louis van Gaal’s men as they suffered a setback in their title hopes.

Leicester’s draw with West Brom on Tuesday night means that Arsenal can move back to within two points of the Premier League leaders with victory over Swansea at The Emirates on Wednesday.

And Henry feels that it is time for every single player in the Arsenal side to prove their worth to Arsene Wenger.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Tuesday afternoon, Henry said: “Theo [Walcott] should have done better, especially this season.

“Olivier [Giroud] has been scoring a lot of goals. At the moment, he is not scoring. Alexis Sanchez has been suffering a bit.

“What happened to the other part of the team? Who was scoring goals when [Andy] Cole and [Dwight] Yorke were not scoring? Who was scoring goals when [Sergio] Aguero wasn’t scoring? Carlos Tevez or Edin Dzeko. Who was scoring goals when I wasn’t having a run? Sylvain Wiltord.

“I can go through teams that have won the title like that. But when Arsenal’s usual suspects aren’t scoring, who is scoring? Who is going to come from the bench and change the game?”
