Michael Owen is tipping West Brom to frustrate Manchester United and hold the Red Devils to a 1-1 draw at The Hawthorns on Sunday afternoon.

Louis van Gaal’s side have been in improved form in recent weeks and have now won their last four games in all competitions.

United continued their resurgence as they beat Watford 1-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday night thanks to Juan Mata’s late free-kick.

That win moved Van Gaal’s men up to fifth place in the table and level on points with Manchester City.

However, former Red Devils striker Owen is expecting United to be frustrated by the Baggies on Sunday and is expecting to see a draw between the two sides.

Writing in his column for Colossus Bets, Owen said: “1-1 is the score line that I most favour in the West Brom v Man United game.

“West Brom had won their previous two games before their 2-2 draw at Leicester on Tuesday, and they can take a point off a Man United side buoyed by their 3-2 defeat of Arsenal at the weekend, and a 1-0 victory over Watford on Wednesday night.

“United are a much more effective side at home, though, and the draw looks the most likely outcome to me, especially with West Brom showing a bit more recently.”
