Jose Mourinho will sell three Manchester United players in the summer transfer window, according to a report in The Sun.

The 53-year-old is being heavily tipped to succeed Louis van Gaal at United after the Dutchman was sacked on Monday night following their fifth-place finish in the Premier League.

Mourinho has already been linked with a move to sign Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic and Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema despite not being confirmed as United manager – yet.

According to a report in The Sun, the United manager is planning to sell Adnan Januzaj, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Antonio Valencia upon his appointment as the Red Devils next boss.

United missed out a top-four finish after Van Gaal’s side finished in fifth place behind Manchester City in the Premier League table.
