Jose Mourinho could decide not to make Zlatan Ibrahimovic one of his first Manchester United signing, according to Sunday Times.

The Sweden international has been heavily linked with a move to the 20-time English champions since it emerged that the 34-year-old would leave Ligue 1 holders Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

Ibrahimovic was thought to be heading to United in the coming weeks after the Sweden captain scored twice on his final appearance for PSG after confirming his intention to join a new club.

The towering striker’s former Inter Milan manager Mourinho was appointed as United’s new boss on Friday morning following the sacking of Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford despite their FA Cup success.

According to Sunday Times, Mourinho could be cool on the prospect of signing the 34-year-old centre-forward as the Portuguese coach looks to rebuild United.
