The Juventus striker has been one of Massimiliano Allegri’s best players over the past 12 months and helped the Turin side secure the Serie A title and Coppa Italia.
The 22-year-old has scored 23 goals and has made nine assists in 46 games in all competitions for the Serie A champions in the 2015/16 season.
Unsurprisingly, Dybala’s excellent form has prompted interest from La Liga giants Barcelona and 20-time English champions United in recent months.
However, according to Tuttosport, the Argentina international turned down a phone call from Mourinho 10 days ago ahead of the Portuguese’s appointment as United manager.
Dybala moved to the Serie A champions from Palermo last summer after scoring 21 times in 89 top-flight games for the southern side during three seasons.
United named Mourinho as their new manager on Friday morning ending months of speculation.
