Paddy McNair is confident that Jose Mourinho will quickly bring silverware to Manchester United.

The Portuguese coach was finally appointed as the Red Devils’ new manager on Friday after days of speculation linking him with the Old Trafford role.

Mourinho has signed a three-year contract with United as he secured an immediate return to the Premier League following his sacking by Chelsea back in December.

The former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss will be expected to help bring trophies to United as they look to compete for major honours in the coming seasons.

And United defender McNair feels that he is the right man to do just that.

McNair is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News HQ: “He’s a world class manager, he has won trophies in a lot of countries and he has worked with the best players and with the best teams in the world.

“I feel like he can bring trophies to Man Utd.”
