Thierry Henry has claimed that Manchester United will have no trouble in attracting the players they want to sign this summer with Jose Mourinho in charge.

The Portuguese coach is set to take over at Old Trafford as he sealed an immediate return to the Premier League following his sacking by Chelsea back in December.

Attentions will now inevitably turn towards the summer transfer window and Mourinho’s recruitment plans at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have been linked with a host of players in recent weeks, including the likes of Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And Henry feels that the fact that United will not be playing Champions League football next season will be outweighed by Mourinho’s arrival at the club.

Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Thursday afternoon, Henry said: “Because they haven’t made the top four it will have made it more difficult to attract big players but with Mourinho, they can probably now attract the players they want.”
