The Belgian playmaker scored his first goal of the season on Monday night as he netted from the penalty spot to send the Blues on their way to victory over West Ham United in their first Premier League game of the season.
Hazard failed to produce consistent performances for Chelsea last season as the Blues ended up in 10th place in the Premier League table and with their title defence in tatters.
It marked a sharp decline in form for the 25-year-old, who had helped to inspire the Blues to the Premier League title in the 2014-15 campaign.
However, Chelsea captain Terry feels that the Blues need to appreciate having one of the best players in the world at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking on Sky Sports after Monday night’s victory, Terry said: “He’s up there with the very best in the world for me.
“We relied on him too much last season and he can’t do it all on his own even though he almost does.
“He’s a world-class player and we’re very lucky to have him.”
Chelsea travel to Watford in the Premier League this weekend.
