Mario Balotelli could be the next man at newly minted Wolverhampton Wanderers, according to Ladbrokes.

Odds of the maverick striker moving to Molineux have been slashed from 20/1 to 6/1, with Port Vale second-favourites at 9/1 to bring the former Premier League winner to Staffordshire.

It’s 16/1 he returns to the top-flight with West Ham, while Celtic are dark horses to lure the cult hero north of the border at 33/1.

However, the bookies have ruled out a return to Man City with a whopping 100/1 for the 26-year-old to be welcomed back to the Etihad.

Ladbrokes News’ Dave Burin said: “It’s quite a way down from World Cups to Wolves, but the hot-headed hitman needs to start somewhere.”

“Wherever he goes, there are sure to be fireworks. But they need to be on the pitch, not in his bathroom.”
