The Red Devils eased to a 2-0 victory over Southampton at the Theatre of Dreams of Friday night thanks to goals from Zlatan Ibrahimovic either side of half-time.
The 34-year-old broke the deadlock with a towering header which he thundered past Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster in the 34th minute.
Ibrahimovic doubled the home side’s lead from the penalty spot after England left-back Luke Shaw was brought down in the area after half-time.
And Mourinho posed for a selfie with his daughter Matilde on Twitter after United made it back-to-back Premier League victories to start the season under their new manager.

Mourinho was named as Louis van Gaal’s successor earlier this summer after the Dutch coach’s disappointing fifth-place finish meant no Champions League football this term.
United will make the trip to Mike Phelan’s promoted Hull City side in their next Premier League game next Saturday.
