The Manchester United striker was an unused substitute in the Red Devils’s 3-1 victory over Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon as Jose Mourinho’s men made a winning start under the Portuguese coach.
Juan Mata broke the deadlock on the south coast before Rashford’s rivals for a first-team place Wayne Rooney and Zlatan Ibrahimovic polished off three points for the Red Devils against the Cherries.
Rashford was one of the big positives to come from an otherwise disappointing season for the Red Devils as the 18-year-old scored eight goals in 18 games in all competitions last term.
And the United striker was afforded the chance to meet one of the Premier League’s greatest-ever goal-scorers on Tuesday as Henry made the trip to United’s Carrington training ground.
Rashford posted the above photo on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption:
“@thierryhenry at the training ground earlier ⚽️🔴”
The Red Devils will host Southampton in their next Premier League fixture at Old Trafford on Friday night.
