Manchester United can move three points clear at the top of the Premier League on Friday night as the Red Devils host Southampton at Old Trafford on Friday night.

The 20-time English champions eased to a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in their opening Premier League fixture of the season at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Spain international Juan Mata broke the deadlock in the first half after tenacious play from the World Cup winner was rewarded as the Bournemouth defence made a mistake.

United captain Wayne Rooney doubled the away side’s lead with a close-range finish just after the break to silence his critics ahead of this first season under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The Portuguese’s second signing of the summer transfer window – Zlatan Ibrahimovic – scored the Red Devils’s third goal on the south coast.

Liverpool look like rivals to United – with the best odds found on LatestBettingSites.co.uk – after Jurgen Klopp’s side scored four goals in a 4-3 victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Philippe Coutinho netted a brace either side of the break before Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane found the net in north London.

The Reds will make the short trip to promoted side Burnley in their next Premier League game on Saturday afternoon as Sean Dyche’s men look to record their first win of the new season.

Chelsea, too, should be title challengers as Antonio Conte looks to put his stamp on the west London side after taking over the reins following Italy’s Euro 2016 campaign.

The Blues eased to a 2-1 victory over derby rivals West Ham United in west London after Diego Costa netted a late winner for the Blues at Stamford Bridge.

Conte’s second London derby will take place this weekend when the Blues make the short trip to Watford at Vicarage Road.
