Stan Collymore criticised Liverpool’s lack of incision after Saturday afternoon’s 2-0 defeat by Burnley.

The Reds were 4-3 winners against top-four rivals Arsenal in their opening Premier League game last weekend but Jurgen Klopp’s made a poor start at Turf Moor.

Burnley were ahead inside two minutes thanks to Sam Vokes’s opener before Andre Gray doubled the home side’s lead eight minutes before half-time.

Liverpool had a staggering 26 shots on goal but the visitors could only keep five of those attempts on target as Klopp’s side suffered their first defeat of the season.

Former Reds striker Collymore was critical of the Merseyside outfit following their disappointing performance against Sean Dyche’s outfit.

Liverpool will play Premier League champions Leicester City in their first Premier League game of the season at an expanded Anfield.

The Reds will follow up their clash against the Foxes with a tough game against 2015 Premier League champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Friday 16 September.
