Tottenham Hotspur are weighing up an offer for Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez, according to reports in the British media.

Sky Sports News are claiming that the north London side are interested in the 21-year-old shot stopper as Mauricio Pochettino looks to sign a long-term prospect for the number one spot.

The same article states that Tottenham’s interest isn’t related to Hugo Lloris’s recent injury setback after the France goalkeeper was brought off in the first half at Goodison Park last weekend.

The Lilywhites are expected to place their faith in Netherlands international Michel Vorm during the captain’s injury lay-off.

Tottenham have completed the signing of two players in the summer transfer window as Pochettino looked to bolster his squad.
