Gary Lineker hailed Dele Alli’s “deft” equaliser for Tottenham Hotspur in Saturday’s 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion.

The England international netted in added time at the Hawthorns Stadium to rescue a point for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and maintain their unbeaten start to the 2016-17 Premier League season.

Alli has scored in successive Premier League games after the 20-year-old midfielder netted the north London side’s second goal in a 2-0 win against Manchester City ahead of the international break.

Former Tottenham striker Lineker lavished praise on Alli following the England star’s equaliser against the Baggies on Saturday afternoon.

Nacer Chadli had given West Brom a slender lead 16 minutes from time as the Belgium international scored against his former club after Tottenham sold the forward to the Baggies in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham will make the trip to Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen in their next Champions League group-stage game on Tuesday night.
